Acts | Chapter 11 Pt. II (Letting the Word Get into Our Heart)

Wouldn't we love it if we only had to hear what the Lord said one time, and it was permanently settled down on us (in our heart) and we never needed to revisit it.But remember, Peter walked with and ate with Jesus, and you know slept next to him, and you camped with Him; however Peter is still being reminded of lessons taught to Him by Jesus during His time in ministry on earth. Lessons given in the Torah. As believers, we think okay, we're filled with the Holy Spirit we don't have a natural mind anymore. And I'm not saying carnally minded, but a natural mind that understands in the five senses; that remembers what it was taught, and recalls all of those things. And we forget sometimes that there has to be that renewing of the mind. in Second Peter, he stated he will always remind you, us of these things, even though we know them and are established why because it's good for us. If we need, first and foremost, the Holy Spirit to bring all things to our remembrance. Hearing what He is teaching you once is all well and good; but, it has to get down into our heart so we can live by it.
