Morning Bible Study ~
We must walk in similar manner as we study how the Apostles are walking in the Holy Spirit; letting the love of God has been shed abroad in their heart letting that flourish on the inside out. Truly representing Jesus the Christ to all.

Even in the first church, problems arose. However, the Lord always gives us His best. Through the Holy Spirit, the people were given the opportunity to be part of the solution, and follow the Lord as He outlines all these qualities and characteristics that should be prevalent in selected leaders.

When it comes to selecting leaders, Believers / Christians should be looking for very specific things that are measurable, that bear fruit and witness the potential leader(s) have a relationship with the Lord, and are being led by His Holy Spirit.

Shouldn't we have leadership that reflects our Lord and Savior's nature, His character, and His attributes to help bring us into relationship with Him? That would also help us as a community, learn, grow, and reflect Him within or throughout society.

Morning Bible Study ~
When people are properly operating and functioning in their God given role by the Leading of the Holy Spirit, in the place that they're given  to perform those duties and responsibilities; the best and biggest blessing is provided to them, and to everyone else. When we follow Holy Spirit's leading and wisdom, many of those that were previously the biggest opposition come into alignment with the Lord's plan.

Morning Bible Study ~
Believers or Christians should be aware of the schemes of the evil one. There is a spiritual war raging on with a very real enemy who is seeking to steal, kill, and destroy. The Lord has already given us the victory in Jesus the Christ; we must follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in order to move from victory to victory in every battle. No matter what the tactics the enemy uses, what the situation looks like, or the circumstances. Let your Light shine before all men; so God may be glorified.

Morning Bible Study ~
When faced with God's wisdom, we have the opportunity to either come into agreement or alignment with it; or refuse and resist His Divine wisdom. When Stephen, the first martyr, spoke the wisdom given through the Holy Spirit; it was not that they [Pharisees, Sadducees, and Scribes] couldn't say no to God, it was they couldn't come up with any logical reason to refute what God said. And, we see that in multiple places in the Scripture. Every time the adversary is working through a human to try to say something contrary to the Word of God, they were silenced. There was nothing they could say or do that would stop what God had already said.

Morning Bible Study ~
In this Holy Spirit provided opportunity to minister to the Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, and false witnesses; Stephen brought the Word of the Lord through a history lesson so they can hold things rightly and not be deceived or presented an opportunity with which they can come out of the deception and renew their mind. While the Bible doesn't say much about Stephens background, it does talk about the apostles who dedicated themselves to prayer and the teaching of the word. The Apostles were uneducated men. But here, Stephen is speaking to educated men with wisdom that they cannot refute; which is a trademark of the Holy Spirit.

Morning Bible Study ~
Because Stephen was so full of the Holy Spirit, meaning he sowed to the Spirit versus sowing to the flesh, he remained connected and in the moment with the Holy Spirit; and then was able to proceed in delivering the Word of the Lord without the need or feeling like he needed to defend himself, without offense, and without getting off the track the Lord prepared for him.

Morning Bible Study ~
In discussing the history, Stephen is talking to people that have known the history; they have grown up knowing the history and are thrilled to be God's chosen people. However, there's an understanding of the history that needs to occur; and it needs to occur for everyone. In the Holy Spirit led history lesson through Stephen; an understanding of why all these prominent figures were blessed by the Lord is revealed, as well as why others went into captivity, and our role and responsibility today.

Morning Bible Study ~
The Lord continued to watch over Joseph and to bless him, even when he was sold into slavery, because he kept his faith in the Lord. God always makes the difference between those who serve the Lord and those who do not extremely distinguishable. all the nations were blessed and benefited off of one individual's desire to be pleasing to the Lord by holding his faith in Him; that God would be his God and he would be His servant, regardless of what the situation or circumstance looked like.

Morning Bible Study ~
The patriarchs were given the Covenant by the Lord, which was for them and their children and their children's children, and then the generations after them; that God would be their God, and they, all the descendants, would be His people. That they would be obedient to His voice.

Morning Bible Study ~
The people around you, those people belong to God; despite the charge that God may give you over them, they belong to Him. And, you should treat them as though you remember that God is both your maker and theirs. So give them the same love and grace that you want to bestowed upon you. And, when you allow God to raise up His people as he desires, you'll find that He also cultivates you, so that you're well rounded.

Morning Bible Study ~
Because Moses was walking with the Lord, and staying in obedience to what God wanted, he was in the position that God wanted him to be in; so God can meet with him. We need to humble ourselves because, all that was part of the preparation for God's destiny for Moses' life. Let the Lord fully prepare us for the role and the destiny that He has in mind. 

Acts | Chapter 7 Pt. VIII

Morning Bible Study ~
Stephen, in discussing the history of the Jewish People given to him by the Holy Spirit, there's a love that comes across. Stephen doesn't skip over the difficult things and sayings that happened in their history. He acknowledges them while  also placing them in the right perspective - God's perspective. So each one listening is receiving the opportunity to rightly understand and turn to the Lord in the way He set forth for all - through Jesus the Christ. That our thoughts would be aligned with our Heavenly Fathers thoughts; and our ways would reflect His nature, character, and attributes in every area of our life. 

Acts | Chapter 7 Pt. IX

Morning Bible Study ~
In explaining how every aspect of the history of the Jewish People demonstrated the need for a Savior, pointed to the coming of Jesus the Christ, and how He would redeem them through His sacrifice on the cross; highlighted by His resurrection. This Holy Spirit led instruction is so they, and every person on earth, would not miss the Lord's voice anymore. But, would worship the Lord by living out every aspect of our life before Him in an active, personal, deep, and intimate relationship with our God.

Morning Bible Study ~
The Lord God is a gentleman and He knocks. He asks, He requests, He draws you, and He calls into you. So as you walk with Him, keep saying yes and keep letting Him reveal to you the things that He desires, the things that are His best for you and His plans for you; and walk with Him however long or short. God is not limited to time, He's eternal, and He's good. So just keep going.

Acts | Chapter 7 Pt. XI (Choose God)

Morning Bible Study ~
There is the truth that there is one God, which consists of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; but He is One. Put away from you all these other things that you're worshiping, and not hide it till later. Put it away from you, discard it. denounce it, renounce it, walk away from it entirely; and turn and worship the True and Living God with your whole heart. God is saying, Come to Me, I love you, and let's deal with these things together. I will put the Truth in the place where you tell the lie. You have to be willing to give that to Him.

Morning Bible Study ~
Holy Spirit reveals to us, the light of God, the love of God, and the mercy of God; teaching us how to skillfully and accurately apply His Word. But, what the Holy Spirit says and does does not suit human flesh. The flesh cannot comprehend it because it's (what Holy Spirit says and does) not of the flesh of God; it's of the Spirit. And when Stephen told the Pharisees, Saducees, and Scribes  that they had uncircumcised hearts, meaning they had been sitting under the Word and they're reciting it and reading from it weekly, or daily in some regards, but they weren't letting the Word of God change them.

Morning Bible Study ~
What's your choice than to either walk in humility, drawing closer to God;  or remain in rage, hardening of the heart and being stiff-necked? Be careful how you hear; when the Pharisees, Sadducees and Scribes heard the Holy Spirit speaking through Stephen, they should have said, "That's the Holy Spirit's voice hold up, Pump the brakes. I've read this. And, that was always being said to someone who was going against God." It was never being said to someone who was doing the will of the Father, operating or functioning in the name of God. It was always someone who was in an adversarial position to the Lord; and it cost them, causing them to miss out on the wonderful opportunity to be regained as a child of the Lord Most High.

Acts | Chapter 7 Pt. XIV (Encountering God and His Destiny for Your Life)

Morning Bible Study ~
All of the apostles which wrote Books of the Bible, wrote about things that they saw, and interacted with; that they handled. The same thing is happening with Stephen; who is informing the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Scribes of what He seeing even as they were speaking. That occurs consistently throughout Scripture; with the apostles and everyone that is bearing witness of Jesus the Christ. Including Saul, who becomes the Apostle Paul, when he encounters Jesus, Who reveals to Paul the Destiny track for his life.

There's a spiritual side preceding every word spoken and deed done. We as as Believers/Christians need to take our eyes off the individual(s), and place them onto the Lord and His Holy Spirit, to reveal what's behind the actions. Because, the Lord is the only One that knows the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Out of the heart, proceeds whatever is filling it.  

Acts | Chapter 7 Pt. XVI (Don’t Give the Enemy a Foothold in Your Life)

As you examine the entirety of the Bible. when time the Lord mentions the Patriarchs, they're [Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel)] following the Lord. They're being obedient to everything the Lord said; even before they had the 10 Commandments. Which denotes a personal, deep and intimate relationship with God; not just a list of rules to follow. There are multiple accounts of the Patriarchs interacting with the Lord; walking with talking with him, wrestling with Him, being a friend to God. That's exactly the type of relationship the Lord desires to have with you today.

Morning Bible Study ~
Sometimes, when we're following God and we look at a situation like this; where somebody is doing what the Lord told them to do, but yet they die. That that can be misleading, if you don't perceive it correctly. t's not a failure on Stephens part that people responded to God, to the Holy Spirit's prompting, by killing Stephen. And, it didn't mean that Stephen missed God somewhere. If he [Stephen] attempted to preserve his life, he would not have had Jesus standing to welcome him. But the Lord Jesus the Christ was standing to observe His child, His follower, His body, laying down his life, for the name of Jesus Christ. And that's what we're all called to. How will you respond to God's prompting?

Acts | Chapter 8 Pt. I (We are Built for This)

Morning Bible Study ~
The natural world would try to bombard you with images and thoughts coming from the adversary attempting to tell you God can't win; because they're screaming over your voice trying to kill, kill, steal and destroy and  keep you from talking. But, the Lord God Almighty laughs; as there is nothing that can overcome His Word and His plan(s). We should be confident and emboldened to pursue God; and, we should be even more certain that we win.

When Philip came to Samaria, they were preaching the Word of Faith in Jesus Christ; Jesus is your doorway; He's the answer to your problem. The adversary [Satan] promises freedom by bowing down and submitting to the ways of the world and carnality. But, the people in Samaria were all in bondage; and the Word specifically states they had joy once they were delivered. When they heard Jesus preached and, in faith, received the message. I just want to encourage you today to see and hear how wonderful God is. The Lord isn't holding you back from anything good.

Acts | Chapter 8 Pt. III (Love not Fear)

Morning Bible Study ~
How will they know what it truly means to serve the Lord God, without someone to teach them or to walk with them; which is exactly what Jesus did with us. Or in the physical, His own disciples. They [Jesus' Disciples] didn't have it all together at first; they didn't understand the Word, even though they had heard it their whole life. But Jesus walked with them, teaching them instead of condemning them or disqualifying them; and not just through words, but through actions and through His behavior. Showing them, demonstrating to them how living a life of worship to the Lord God Almighty is done. Revealing how our Heavenly Father has meant for things to be from the beginning.

Acts | Chapter 8 Pt. IV (Are You Looking For Signs; or Do Signs Follow You?)

Morning Bible Study ~
When we see the great commission, the Lord instructs Believers/Christians to go out and preach the gospel. And the Lord God informs us these signs will follow those who believe;  that's very different than seeking a sign. When you are doing what God called you to do, He said the signs will follow you, because He will be confirming His Word, that He is with you. Signs will follow the Believer; not the Believer following after the signs.

If we are to be a part of the Lord God and enter into His Kingdom, we have to do things His way; not our own way. It's His will, His plans, His purpose, His covenant;  not our way, will, mindset, or our carnal approach to life and godliness. It's His standard for all. The Lord wills that what none should perish; instructing us that all who call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. All; there's no exclusion. He has to actually be your God; and you have to actually be His.

Acts | Chapter 8 Pt. VI (The Root Of Bitterness & Desperation)

Morning Bible Study ~
Desperation, comes from not receiving something God gave you in the moment that he gave it to you to receive. So you're feeling desperate, You didn't receive what He came to present to you. The Bitterness that Simon (The sorcerer) is feeling, I don't have what I need is because something was lacking. But, it's not lacking because God didn't supply it; but because Simon didn't receive what had already been supplied. So that leads to bitterness, and then that bitterness causes defilement, which now places him in bondage to iniquity; because Simon's thinking he's got to meet his own needs, which God has already supplied.

Acts | Chapter 8 Pt. VII (Is Your Own Desire Your god?)

The thing that gets in our way of hearing God's voice clearly, is our own desire. If we haven't crucified our flesh, with its passions; it becomes a challenge to follow Him. Our desire has to be submitted to God. Is your desire talking louder than God? You must to treat it as a profane thing. If it's not dealt with, it will draw away your attention; and then you'll be focusing on the object rather than the Creator.

The reason and the purpose of the Holy Spirit to help you by teaching you, leading you, guiding you, and  to give you power fulfill all that the Lord has called you to do; His will. You cannot take the Holy Spirit and try to use Him to fulfill your will; or your own plans. Jesus stated plainly to His earthly mother and brothers, that His family consisted of those that did the Heavenly Father's Will. In other words; say when the Lord says to say, and do what He says to do - He is God. 

Acts | Chapter 8 Pt. IX (Give God His Glory)

The Lord still a miracle working God; but, who will believe Him, who will extend themselves towards God in faith. The scripture says that the eyes of the Lord are looking throughout the earth, going back and forth to find someone whose heart is perfect; who will believe so He can show Himself strong on their behalf. That still applies today. Jesus is still alive, He's still resident, He's still seated at the right hand of the Father, and Holy Spirit is still in the earth. So if He's working miracles, for them, He'll work miracles for us. 

Acts | Chapter 8 Pt. X (God Knows You Specifically)

Morning Bible Study ~
We are limited to time in place, but he is infinite. He's omnipotent. He is all knowing. And he's everywhere, all at the same time. So when we look at the vastness of God, He's working literally all aspects of the situation for the good of those who are called by God. He's literally putting every component into place, so that it would be ready at the exact time is is needed. The Lord had already provided a way for the Ethiopian Eunuch, and had Isaiah the prophet writing about his exact specific situation and circumstance hundreds of years in advance. Who can do that but God?  And not just for the eunuch, but I assure you if you read through Scripture and allow the Lord to reveal things to you; you will find that you and your specific situation is contained within the Scripture. 

Acts | Chapter 8 Pt. XI (Trusting the Lord)

When Jesus sent out His Disciples, He told them not to take anything for themselves except the clothes they had on. The disciples had to shift their focus from depending on certain things, to fully trusting the Lord; that He would provide all their needs. The provision always comes from the Lord. And, many times He uses people; giving us the opportunity to participate in what He's doing.

It is incredible to observe the majesty of God. How He's able to protect and reconcile in the same situation or activity; which makes Saul's encounter with Jesus the Christ, even more magnificent and beautiful. The gentle boldness that the Lord has, and the tenacity He has; that is able to save to the utmost.

It is hard to kick against the goads; the Word of God, which is Truth. The Lord's Word, and Holy Spirit, are prompting us to fulfill the destiny track He's purposed for your life.

We have such a compassionate and merciful Lord. If we have questions, God is happy to answer and confirm His Word; but saying to, or demanding from, our God prove our doubts wrong is a different matter.

As we read about Ananias going to minister to Saul, there are so many gifts at work here to build up Saul. There are the gifts that we are born with, that come from the Father. There are offices, gifts that come from the Son. However, the gifts we really see are those made manifest by the Holy Spirit; as He wills for the ministry, and edification, and the service to the body as He wills to move through people. 

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. V (Functioning in the Gifts of Holy Spirit)

In 1 Corinthians chapter 12 We discover Holy Spirit's operating gifts, that He works as He wills; just as we see in Ananias while ministering to Saul. You don't own these, you don't possess them; but, you are a vessel for them by being baptized in the Holy Spirit. You can be used in any way that the Holy Spirit desires to use you; If you remain open to him. Don't limit Him. Allow the Lord through His Holy Spirit to have say, guidance and direction in your life and just out of all see your love be obedient to however he's leading you. The outcome of functioning in Holy Spirits gifts, will always be the building up of those around you. 

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. VI (Growing in the Lord, Looking like Jesus)

Morning Bible Study ~
Saul was being matured, and you are too. As soon as you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and are empowered by the Holy Spirit, filled with the Holy Spirit; not unlike when Saul immediately began to proclaim Jesus. In this section of Scripture Saul has people that He is building up in Jesus, as he has been built up; and continues to grow in strength and knowledge. The infilling and indwelling of the Holy Spirit is life; manifesting now in the life of others.

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. VII (Leading of Holy Spirit in every Situation)

Morning Bible Study ~
We don't need to go find our own way, because the Lord has sent us Holy Spirit. He takes from our Heavenly Father and disclosed the plan He already had for us; in every situation. Even if we are blessed with the ability to strategize and develop plans, we are instructed and encouraged to brig our plans before the Lord.

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. VIII (Our Role in the Leading of Holy Spirit)

We each have a responsibility to listen to the Holy Spirit for ourselves. Not to judge by what our eyes see and what our ears hear. Saul tries to to engage with the disciples, with the apostles; however, they were afraid and wanted nothing to do with him? Whereas, they could and should have checked with the Holy Spirit.

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. IX (Choosing to Repent)

Morning Bible Study ~
Each choice or decision is a door that's opened by what you do. Either you're opening the door for God to minister on your behalf; or you're giving place to the adversary. As you step into your adulthood in your maturity, keep the door close to the adversary. Don't give him room to have any stake or claim in your life. Don't give him room to come and have a legal claim, a spiritual legal claim, concerning the things that God has given you. 

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. X (Walking in the Standard set by the Lord)

Morning Bible Study ~
In the Kingdom, in the spiritual realm, there is no standing still. Either you're moving forward towards God; or you're moving away from Him. We have received these weapons that the Lord gave us, to bring every thought captive and under subjection; to submit to God and resist the devil, so the devil will flee from us. We need to work out our own soul salvation. I can't make the choices and decisions for you. No more than you can make the choices and decisions for me. We each must do this for ourselves in the Lord. It is all dependent on how deep you want to go in your relationship with the Lord.

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. XI (When Will You Decide To Believe?)

Morning Bible Study ~
Faith requires action. Faith acts immediately upon the word that's been given to you; that's how you demonstrate your faith. The Lord draws us provides us with a measure of faith so we can take a hold of Him; but we can't come to salvation on our own without the Holy Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit to provide that opportunity to us.

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. XII (The Lord Does Miracles)

Morning Bible Study ~
The Lord is in control of time and circumstances. Circumstances don't dictate to the Lord. What his timing should be. But that takes faith to understand. The natural tendency is to attempt to rush the Lord to move right now. The Lord's not moved by the circumstances or by time. He dictates what's going to happen, and he does things according to His will; and in His will is His timing. Let us remove any unbelief, in order to provide an atmosphere where the Lord can move and operate and work in. 

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. XIII (Faith, Unbelief, Decision, and Motivation)

Morning Bible Study ~
Literally the goal of the adversary (Satan) is to distract you from what the Lord has for you. So what will we choose? That's a choice everyone or decision for every person, concerning what you're going to do and how you want to live; in the depth of relationship you want with the Lord.

Acts | Chapter 9 Pt. XIV (Putting Our Focus On God)

Morning Bible Study ~
For us, when you correlate a straight line, to think of what are all the tasks; but to God the journey isn't always a straight line. We should be asking ourself, Did I stay obedient to the entire plan from start to middle to end. Stay with obedience and willingness, it's a matter of following God, in whatever He wants it to look like in that journey; completing, every divine appointment and meeting, accomplished as He's directed. And, on to the next Divine appointment, when the Lord directs; so He is glorified.
