Paul is mirroring the actions, the attitudes, the behavior found in Jesus, the Christ by going not my will but Your will to accomplish your plans and purpose. Regardless of what it looks like, regardless of what it feels like, or what emotions it elicits from my natural body. By the time we get to this point, Paul had clearly been tried by fire, as he writes about in other letters are each one's work will be tested by fire and what remains right no receiver award for; so he's been tried by a fire in every place. Demonstrating he will do the will of the Lord; and not to depart from the path, and the course, or the Destiny track that the Lord has for his life, glorifying the Father.

We all have a destiny track to walk before the Lord, with many also intersections and people that are impacted along the way. If they had have missed something Holy Spirit was leading them to, how many lives would have not had the same impact? Or, would have missed out on something key because they didn't receive what they were supposed to; or what the Lord had purposed and planned for them to receive. And, where He's purposed of you to be used to aid in someone else receiving something they need for their destiny track; let's ensure we receive all the Lord has purposed for us to receive from Him, for the destiny track for our life.

The Lord is the One that structures, and has structured, His House and His Body as He designed it. So we have to, everyone has to, get to a place where they can function they can operate as He purposed. The training the instruction, the guidance, the wisdom, knowledge that's been passed on to everyone must actually be applied to you life and continually demonstrated; daily. In essence Paul is saying, I've done everything that's required of me to do as it pertains to you. You have what you need. Now the question for them as as well as for us; will we do it? Will we take those words; will we heed the warnings and apply them to our lives?

We have to be steadfast and firm in our own faith before we can try to lead others or expect to do any good in a situation. And, all the Apostle Paul continues to talk about this in his own life saying, I have done nothing evil to you. I have not fallen prey to the adversary. I have not done anything that's not becoming of Christ; but I've done everything exactly as the Lord has told me to do it. And, I continue to do so. And now Paul's exhorting them to do this as well; to pay attention so they don't fall into the trap of the adversary themselves.

Paul's describing to those he has discipled, they need to become more pressing in their own in their own walk with the Lord; meaning that Paul was no longer going to be there to save them or to do everything for them, but they had to mature in their own understanding and their own ideas and step into the role that was being vacated by Paul. He set up at a church a structure as he received it through the Lord. And elders were appointed, they have already been selected, and they've already been charged or commissioned to do the work underneath the Lord. I'm not your your link to the Lord. You're not underneath me in this. You're doing this unto the Lord; which I think is commendable. Because even today, we often see the reverse of that many times. The Lord is the One that gives authority. He's the One that sets and establishes; and we answer to Him alone for what we do or don't do.

The Apostle Paul did what the Lord put on his heart to do, concerning his provisions and his needs, which was to work; and then when people did were moved by the Lord to contribute to him financially or in whatever way he was grateful for it and he appreciated it. But, he didn't make that something that he expected people to do for him. He was appreciative. He was grateful. He realized that it came from the Lord; but also he realized this is what the Lord wanted him to do, freely give to others as Paul had freely received from the Lord.

Let everything pass by before the Lord; whatever He says about it, that's what it is. Paul describes what Holy Spirit ministered to his [Paul's] spirit as, being obligated to go to Jerusalem. While Paul didn't know the specifics of what exactly would happen; he knew in his spirit man, that that's where he was supposed to go. Even when someone else came to him with a word telling Paul, he was not supposed to go. He had to run things by the Lord and stand fast in what the Lord told Paul, he was supposed to do.

The Lord is the One who set up all the lives, all the courses, all the journeys; He's made them intersect when and where He determined them to be before the foundation of the earth were set. He knew where the Apostle Paul would be, He (The Lord] knew when they would be there, He knew what stage they would be at, and what they would need to have as closure or fulfillment to finish their leg of the journey. And, He's already planned everything out for each of our lives. If we will walk in the perfect will of God everything will be done right, righteously, completely, and thoroughly. And, the Lord will truly be glorified.

When Jesus came into and began His earthly ministry, He did a lot of correcting of the things and the ideas that the Jews thought were right. There was much misunderstanding about what was actually contained in the scriptures, and what God desires from His people. There is no wisdom, or understanding, or counsel against the Lord. It's not just having knowledge of the Lord; it's about having relationship with the Father, through His Son Jesus the Christ. Take the time an opportunity to have an experience with Jesus to get to know Him and who He is; His nature, His character, His attributes. Learn from Him concerning what He actually actually thinks about you, and how much He actually loves you.

Sin nature thinks it can force God into accepting something less than, or lower than, what He already said. Attempting to first remove the standard; before secondly to replace the standard. We cannot put our faith, our hope, our trust in humanity; in human nature. Paul was literally a citizen of both groups [Jews & Rome]. But both groups here are rejecting Him. Now, yes, the Romans are afraid because they found that after the fact that this is not how we treat one of our own citizens. It's similar to what we saw in Christ; Who is our pattern example, literally lived out His whole time on Earth in excellence, being faithful in all of the Lord's House. And, that's the example we should follow.

When you look at the argument in this situation, it wasn't just a back and forth exchange of words fight, if you will. They were so in opposition to each other, and just willing to fight and be violent that they were willing to pull Paul into pieces. Instead of reacting or responding in our flesh, just giving, giving the Holy Spirit the opportunity to respond. We always have time to hear from him. Nothing is so, so urgent that we can't hear His voice; because, Jesus is the light, and His light is the life of men. So since that's the case, we always have time, and we need to make time to hear His voice, because not even death can stand up to Him.

Jesus didn't come to, to just prove out that he was right from the beginning. He always sought to be righteous. In a similar manner Paul is still trying to not be right, but live righteously in this situation. Let's understand that as our mindset, to be righteous; not to be right but to be righteous and pleasing to our Heavenly Father.

Realize that God always upholds His Word and the vessels that He chooses. He knows what He's doing for and in those people; and that He wants to give everyone an opportunity to come to Him. Our business is to keep our eyes on the Lord and He chooses the vessels he wants to use, when He wants to use them for His Glory. In our relationship with the Holy Spirit, we should be listening for his specific voice, not just something that tells us to do what we feel is right or what we think is right; because we know the devil comes as an angel of light. He always brings about peace; a peace beyond understanding. So there was 40 people set out to kill or eliminate Paul. And there was clearly a lot of unrest going on in Jerusalem. But did that not while a between the time and you could say mass amount of troops of soldiers that were prepared to do battle to protect the transport of Paul to another area right which to provide safety in someone's and, you know, bring peace to the to the to Jerusalem? The Lord orchestrated troops of soldiers that were prepared to do battle to protect the transport of Paul. Now, Felix the governor has more troops there and instructions is as a complete understanding of the situation at hand. So he can carry and conduct himself accordingly and provide peace, and there's also time because the trial was going to be delayed until Paul's accusers arrive; however long that was. That's time that Paul can spend with the Lord in prayer; as he often did. And, as we should also.

We have to fulfill the role the Lord is put into our hands. That's what He wants us to do. We don't generate what our own part is. We receive that from the Lord; and then we have to carry it out with the help that the Holy Spirit provides. We have to learn to recognize Holy Spirit; learn His voice, His prompting, and His guiding.

We are approaching God trying to cover whatever it was that we did, whether it you know, like a sim or something. When we come to Him come truthful. He already knows what what happened; so the the best thing is to come with honesty, demonstrating that you truly have repented of sin and you're not trying to get one over on Him. The Lord has shown me that we need a watch for that today because it can be very easy and it is very easy for people to blame someone instead of examining ourselves and asking the Lord to show me how I can avoid sin from this point forward.

Here's the core of everything - God is our God, and we are His people. The God had Father, Son, Holy Spirit, yes. And then he's saying, we also believe at the core, this very thing, that there is a resurrection. And that is, you know, because our faith, hope, and trust is in the Lord God or the Godhead in full; Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and the redemptive work of Christ. Right. We have this, is what Paul is saying. The difference is allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us in how it's carried out. But he's (Paul) saying at the core, we're the same; so understand that in full and don't allow the enemy to come in and create or cause division.

It's important for us to recognize what the Lord is providing and doing with His hand in the situation. In verse 24, he talks about how Felix would come with his wife, as she's an important figure; not just because she is Jewish, she was also the daughter of King Agrippa - one of Caesars top generals. So, seeds are already been planted here, not just for Agrippa and eventually Caesar; but for the whole family, because that's how the Lord works. Let's get to a place where we are able to understand how the Holy Spirit's moving and all He's saying, coming into alignment with His plan; and giving Him thanks.

Paul had to say no, I will not pay a breath for two solid years. He did not pay a bribe to save his own life because he trusted in the Lord chose to trust to all say in this way, chose to submit his wills eradicate self will to do the Lord's will and trust that the Lord with His plan and His purposes, Paul knew he was to go to Rome. He didn't know exactly what was going to happen in Rome, as far as who he was going to minister to. The Lord kept providing all these opportunities for Paul to preach and teach the gospel along the journey. And what does he teach about; righteousness, self control, and judgment. All the things we are teaching and preaching today. This is this is right says Seek first the kingdom and his righteousness. This is what it looks like and how you apply it to your daily life. Paul is preaching and teaching those things; while at the same time demonstrating righteousness and self control by not exercising the option to pay a bribe to remove himself from the situation, in order to save his own life.

Your parents can suddenly state, we're gonna go on vacation; we're gonna go to this amusement park or waterpark Well, if it's been a couple of weeks, are the children not going to ask on a daily basis if we are still going; and when are we going? Of course they're going to constantly check in. Well, it should be the same way that we operate with our Heavenly Father; constantly checking in, and not demanding when but but asking, is this still the plan? Has it changed? Watching and asking; what do I have to change, or do, or say? That's how children are with their natural parents. Well, we're God's children, if He is in fact our God. He's our Heavenly Father, and we're His children. And He tells us to come to Him as a little child. So, this is the type of relationship, and the structure, that the Lord created and desired for us to have with Him. In the same way we know that God is instructing Paul, and Paul is still continuing steadfastly in communion and fellowship with the Lord.

We have to be steadfast in what we believe not because being steadfast in what is righteous; steadfast in what the Lord has been telling us. Paul is not doing that. He's steadfast in what he believes and knows the truth of God is; and has not allowed other people to come and twist or manipulate it, and take what he knows to be right. He understands that it's better to serve God and to lose his life, than to try to serve himself and possibly gain it; but in the end, lose it for eternity.

This isn't a trial for Paul, this is an opportunity to freely discuss the Lord to these individuals. Now, it's important as part of the promise. This is the same promise the Apostle Peter is talking about, when he exhorts everyone to repent and be baptized, every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the Holy Spirit. He then continues to say this promise belongs to you and your children and all who are a far off to all whom the Lord our God will call to Himself. Will you receive the promise.

The Apostle Paul gave an account of his whole life; How he was living and growing up. He discussed what happened that led to this conversion; how Paul has carried and conducted himself, and walked in faith in the Lord. Again, not a trial; Paul's having a conversation with people who wanted to see him and hear what he had to say. So there's significantly important opportunity for Paul, but also for those around him. And, it's no different than those that have the relationship with the Lord when they share their testimony; as much insight and wisdom and knowledge that can be gleaned about our Lord and what He does in and through a person, the change that He brings, that cannot be replicated or duplicated anywhere else.

What did Moses say to Joshua; why are you jealous for my sake? I wish that they all would prophesy; that they all would hear from the Lord for themselves and speak or do what the Lord is giving and commanding them to speak and do in the same manner - That's for everyone. So you have that opportunity as well. It means that you're not excluded from hearing the voice of the Lord for yourself. And, that you also have opportunity to speak and to do the things that the Lord has predestined for you to do; at the appropriate time, and in the appropriate manner or way which the Lord wants them spoken and or carried out. So it's for all of us; however, that only comes as a result of remaining in step with the Lord, with Holy Spirit's leading.

The Apostle Paul often exhorted others to follow the example of Christ, just like He was doing; staying on the Lord's heels. He followed the Lord; walking with Him through the highs and lows, and the ups and downs. Staying the course, so much so that the same markings that were on Christ would be in him; as Paul desired the same life and fellowship that Christ had with the Heavenly Father would be found in him also.

God is intentional. Even though it looks like the wind is blowing about, God is not being blown about; He's about His business. He is a gracious Lord and Savior. He is merciful and He's good to all. He doesn't indulge us when we were being ungodly. Just because He's gracious does not mean He's winking at our sin. But, He does give us a chance to come to the knowledge of Him before the penalty of sin reaches its fullness; so we can have a chance to turn to Him.

Paul is acknowledging that ultimately, the reason why he's here in this way is because that's how the Lord wanted him to go. It wasn't just the Lord's plan on making Paul go there peacefully, and now Paul has to go bound; but that was the plan all along. And that's something we have to be conscious of - People cannot disrupt the work the Lord and His working in our own lives. The only people who can do that it is ourselves; It's not someone else has caused me to sin. We have to ask ourselves, are we truly listening to him? Are we truly listening to Holy Spirit in our lives? Have we fully committed to following his plan? Or are we trying to pick pieces and parts of it that we like?

The fact that we have come under the blood of Jesus makes us righteous, because that's the way God has set it up; we don't earn righteousness. Scripture talks about Abraham, he believed God and it was accounted to him for righteousness. So he believed God and his faith was driven demonstrated by obeying what God told him to do. That's what God is looking for from us.

But, if you search the Scriptures with the mindset and the heart towards God of; Lord, teach me. Show me Your truth. I believe You and I will let You be the first, middle and final authority in my life. And, I will make Your Word my foundation, Your thought process will become my thought process. Your ways will now become my ways; and I will think and act like you do, instead of trying to convert it and attempt to make you act like me, God. If you have that attitude, your time and the word of God will be so fruitful. Your understanding will increase; and you will mature and the things of God.
