Seek the Lord and Live

Amos | Chapter 5:4-9 Pt. II ~ Episode 1051:
When the Lord was telling Israel to seek Me [The Lord] and live; He was actually saying don't seek what you think I AM, don't seek what you think represents Me; which I AM. Don't do what you think the Lord wants you to do in this situation. Do what He's actually asking you for; that's what He truly desires from you. And, that's exactly how Christ Jesus, our pattern and example, functioned during His Earthly Ministry. 

Seek the Lord and Live Pt. II

Amos | Chapter 5:4-9 Pt. III ~ Episode 1052:
So in the previous episode we began talking about how the Lord wasn't interested in the roles or  traditions that they are performing. And, when the Lord was telling the people to seek Him, He was telling them to seek beyond what they thought was Him or what they thought the Lord represented; to actually knowing and seeking Him, just for Himself [The Lord]. Let's continue ot build upon the foundation laid in Christ Jesus in this episode. 

The Lord Expects His People to Mature

Amos | Chapter 5:10-13 Pt. I ~ Episode 1053:
The Lord has trained up the child(ren) in the way they / we should go. But for some reason they / we would not adhere to what the Lord was laying out before them. And, by this point, there are hundreds of years in relationship with the Lord; yet they are still acting like they're the two year old that just came out of Egypt, that doesn't know any better. Let's understand, the Lord always has an expectation that we mature into the fullness of the measure of the stature of Jesus the Christ. It's time for mature people of God to understand what He's saying, being willing to admit the truth, and move forward with the Lord.

Do Everything the Lord Asks You to do

Amos | Chapter 5:10-13 Pt. II ~ Episode 1054:
We must examine our own life before the Lord. Do our actions match the loving words spoken towards the Lord and His people; or are they in opposition? Just like Israel here in Amos, and throughout Scripture, we and they're teaching the future generations; who will do the same things they've been taught and trained. The Lord is addressing His people, and instructing them on how they're setting a poor example to those around them; both, the nations around them, and the future generations.

Come back to the Place of Righteousness before God

Amos | Chapter 5:14-15 Pt. I ~ Episode 1055:
Joseph represents a shining light that's kind of separate by some generations at this point, but still amongst them; beckoning the Nation of Israel to come back to this reputation. Represented by someone [Joseph] that even though they suffered righteously, they suffered as a wrongdoer even though they were righteous and they did nothing wrong, even came back and demonstrated the epitome of justice; forgiving his brothers.

Return to Your First Love

Amos | Chapter 5:14-15 Pt. II ~ Episode 1056:
The Lord goes to great lengths to talk about His love towards Israel; reminding them that He gave them a responsibility and role within the Kingdom of Israel; and, the Lord is holding them accountable for that. The Lord was always looking for them to do the righteous thing; and He is still exhorting His people to go back to what you truly came from. To return to your first love - The Lord God Almighty. 

Grace Abounds all the More

Amos | Chapter 5:14-15 Pt. III ~ Episode 1057:
The Lord gives this principle here, through the Prophet Amos, that we more readily recognize from the Lord's Word through the Apostle Paul; when it's stated, "Where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more or or abounds even greater." Because the Lords giving them, and us today, the instructions of how to live a life of righteousness and justice before the Lord. 

Answer God's Call to Repentance

Amos | Chapter 5:16-17 Pt. I ~ Episode 1058:
This is the Lord addressing people the second time just in in this chapter, calling them to repentance; and, to then remain with the Lord, walking in Covenant Relationship before Him. Fulfilling His Will, plan, and purpose on the Earth during their life; being a people prepared for the Day of the Lord, so they would not suffer loss when their works of all they had done during their time on the Choosing Ground [Earth] was tested by fire. Are we truly answering the Lord's call to repentance; and, fulfilling all He's given you to accomplish, His way, on the destiny track He purposed for you?

Answer God's Call to Repentance Pt. II

Amos | Chapter 5:16-17 Pt. II ~ Episode 1059:
There is a greater accountability for those in positions of authority, to hold fast to the Lord and keep His standard; not to act on what seems right in a person's own estimation, because all who are under the authority of that individual are impacted. This is part of the difference between personal and corporate repentance. Let's not forget that each person is going to stand before the judgment seat of Christ, one by one, to be judged individually. Let's ensure our salvation, for eternity, by repenting and remaining in Covenant Relationship with the Lord.

Are You on the Lord's Side?

Amos | Chapter 5:18-27 Pt. I ~ Episode 1060:
There will be a day of darkness, as the Lord says that through the Prophet Amos very clearly; which is talking about the same concerning the weakness of those who choose to be in opposition to the Lord.  For those, It is darkness; however, for those that are in Christ, they we are called the salt and light lights. Light shine the brightest in darkness. And, during the time of darkness, it's going to be very evident who is on the Lord side. 

The Lord's Word Will Come to Pass

Amos | Chapter 5:18-27 Pt. II ~ Episode 1061:
People often attempt to avoid a Word from the Lord that requires them to choose to change their heart, or way(s); in an attempt to not be impacted by the consequences of their actions. However, the Lord's Word is still going to come to pass. It does not return void - Ever. We choose, to either come into alignment with the Lord; or, to be an adversary to Him. 

You Are the Light of the World

Amos | Chapter 5:18-27 Pt. III ~ Episode 1062:
Christ Jesus, Who is the Light of Life and the Light of the World, stated that we are the light of the world. Understand the Lord has already given you this place, and position, and a purpose; to be the light of the world. You can't accomplish it apart from the Lord. You can only fulfill it because the Lord is the Light of the World. So when you follow and walk humbly before your God, then you are also the light of the world; because, it's His light shining in and through you.

Remove the Speck and the Log

Amos | Chapter 6:1-6 Pt. I ~ Episode 1063:
By humbling yourself, repenting, and remaining in Divine alignment; which is only found in covenant relationship and remaining covenant relationship with the Lord, will we fulfill duty before God to remove the speck and the log. First, from our own eye; then from our neighbor's eye; demonstrating our love for the Lord, and for our neighbor as ourself. 

The Effects of Complacency

Amos | Chapter 6:1-6 Pt. II ~ Episode 1064:
The Lord addresses the complacency that has come over the people; deceiving themselves that they have been doing the Lord's Will, while having knowledge and the Word of the Lord through Amos they are not. And, further deceiving themselves that they have more time to enter into Divine Alignment. They had become a people that was not even looking out for the things they should've been waging spiritual warfare against; let alone truly being a people prepared for the Lord. 

Accountability before God

Amos | Chapter 6:1-6 Pt. III ~ Episode 1065:
The Lord appoints leaders; giving them a position of power and influence, over all He's assigned to their care. However, leaders must be diligent to ensure they are not manipulating or abusing the power and privileges granted to them by the Lord; as He is holding them to a higher level of accountability. 

Effects of Unrepentance

Amos | Chapter 6:7-14 Pt. I ~ Episode 1066:
Unrepentant people won't acknowledge the things that they've done in opposition to the Lord; and neither do they even want to hear His Name. Much of the unrepentance stems from pride; of whom satan, the adversary, is king over. Remaining unrepentant only demonstrates the decision a person has made concerning whom they will serve; and thier choice to spend eternity apart from the Lord God. While there is still breath in your lungs you have the opportunity to change that outcome; by humbling yourself, repenting to the Lord, then entering and remaining in Covenant Relationship with the Lord. 

Choosing the Lord's kind of Life

Amos | Chapter 6:7-14 Pt. II ~ Episode 1067:
Everyone gets to be blessed and benefited as a result of following the Lord; saying what He says to say, and doing what He does. We must make the decision to, truly, be a person set apart only for the Lord. 

Removing Stumbling Blocks

Amos | Chapter 6:7-14 Pt. III ~ Episode 1068:
Throughout Scripture, the Lord instructs His people to learn the difference between what's holy and what is profane; so we can remove those things from our lives which do not qualify, according to the Lord's righteous standard. That is for our lives; and, we are also required to assist others by not placing stumbling blocks in their life. 

Called to Intercession

Amos | Chapter 7:1-3 Pt. I ~ Episode 1069:
As the Lord has, and continues to do, to this day is make His servants aware of the things people have released into their lives, and into the Earth; so thye (His servants) can intercede concerning the situation and circumstances. Will you accept the invitation and calling from the Lord to intercede; so the Lord can intervene on another's behalf?

The Lord's Manifold Wisdom; and Our Requirements

Amos | Chapter 7:1-3 Pt. II ~ Episode 1070:
The Lord is always speaking, providing us guidance and direction; for our generation, and for the future generations - even to the End Times. That is a part fo the manifold Wisdom of the Lord. Our part is to know Him, His Ways and His Thoughts, those things He reveals to us; and apply it as He reveals, for His glory. 

Lead with Righteousness

Amos | Chapter 7:4-6 Pt. I ~ Episode 1071:
Israel are something to be seen by the entire entirety of the world. You can look at what happened through their life and history; and, the Lord made account of it, so we could have a chance to make different decisions. We would become informed by their experiences and make decisions that are in alignment with the Lord; leading us, deeper into Covenant Relationship with Him. 

Fit for Refinement

Amos | Chapter 7:4-6 Pt. II ~ Episode 1072:
The Lord's manifold wisdom encompasses all. His ways and thoughts are much higher than ours. Even before the process of refinement begins, there is a preparation process. How God deals with things is incredible. He's honest, He's full of integrity; He he's abounding in mercy and truth and every other good thing only comes from Him. 

The Plumb Line

Amos | Chapter 7:7-9 Pt. I ~ Episode 1073:
The Lord has always examined His creation, ensuring it was good or suitable for it's purpose; and, to see if His people were still functioning to the standard He established. Have we examined ourself before the Lord to ensure we are in Divine Alignment with His Standard?

Building with Eternity in Mind

Amos | Chapter 7:7-9 Pt. II ~ Episode 1074:
For Believers, or Christians, we have to be careful how we build. And, the easiest way to build is just continually checking with the Lord; to ensure it lines up with His pattern, His standing, so we don't suffer loss. That only happens when we have a heart to build like the Lord; with eternity in mind.

Entering Divine Alignment; and, Holding Yourself Accountable

Amos | Chapter 7:10-17 Pt. I ~ Episode 1075:
In Amos' generation, the people, instead of hearing to the word actually applying His Word to their life; they chose to question the Lord, blame, and rebel instead of just acknowledging the people that built upon the foundation were not operating, or functioning, as wise master builders. They were out of alignment with the Lord, and the Lord has been addressing them; so they are without excuse. They needed to apply the Lord's Word; and, hold themselves accountable to remain in Divine Alignment with the Chief Cornerstone - Which is Jesus the Christ. 

Receive and Apply the Lord's Word

Amos | Chapter 7:10-17 Pt. II ~ Episode 1076:
The confrontation of Amaziah towards Amos is almost identical to the Lord's account to Moses, concerning Cain and Abel. Even though Cain was given the warnings and he could, by the word of the Lord received directly from the Lord, he [Cain] could have just received it and applied it to his life. However, he chose to not do that; but, attempt to remove the standard of righteousness [found and approved by the Lord in Abel], while incorrectly thinking / planning that he [Cain] could still remain in the land, and continue to be blessed. 

Be Spiritually Focused

Amos | Chapter 7:10-17 Pt. III ~ Episode 1077:
We are called to look at the spiritual plane or playing field; as opposed to the natural appearance of things. Because, the spiritual is true, the natural is a reflection; and, that the natural part is what's going to be done away with. The spiritual is what's going to remain. 

Remain in the Place of Humility

Amos | Chapter 7:10-17 Pt. IV ~ Episode 1078:
Amos response to Amaziah communicated plainly, that he was not taking any credit for the words he was speaking. Also, Amos wasn't talking for any reason, trying to impress somebody and get some notoriety and attention. He's saying and doing exactly what the Lord told / commanded him to do. Amos could be trusted by the Lord because, he chose to remain in the place of humility before the Lord. Let's choose to remain and function in like manner; so we can avoid being brought to a place that requires us to become humbled before the Lord and people. 

God Uses the Foolish Things of the World

Amos | Chapter 7:10-17 Pt. V ~ Episode 1079:
Amos is very, very smart, very intelligent, and very capable. However, it doesn't come from himself; everything Amos is and has comes from the Lord. He [Amos] understood, and we see demonstrated here in the confrontation by Amaziah. Just as Scripture tells is in 1st Corithians chapter 1; God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no man may boast before God. But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, “Let Him who boast, boast in the Lord.”

Gather the Wheat

Amos | Chapter 8:1-6 Pt. I ~ Episode 1080:
Within the basket in the vision are types of fruit that have been gathered up. The fruit has already been separated, in similar manner to the how the Lord declares the angels will separate the wheat from the tares; which the Lord lets us know represent the people that are for the Lord, from the people that are against the Lord. 

The Discipline of a Pure Heart

Amos | Chapter 8:1-6 Pt. II ~ Episode 1081:
All human flesh, unless it's cultivated and taught the love of God, looks and acts the same way. Sometimes there are higher stakes associated with the actions, sometimes there are not. The heart behind the actions is what the Lord has issue with. And, He doesn't want us to be that way; He wants us to be open and receptive to Him, because that's what He's taught, trained, and poured into each and every one of us. There is a continuous process, as a parent, that goes and exists throughout the lifetime of the child; and, it takes different forms as the child grows older. There's a constant need for discipline and it's a part a loving part of our fellowship together.

Being Cultivated by the Lord

Amos | Chapter 8:1-6 Pt. III ~ Episode 1082:
All human flesh looks the same until it's cultivated by God. Just because an individual is raised up in the fear and admonition of the Lord, doesn't mean that the teaching, training, and instruction has gotten down into their heart yet. That must be decided by each individual for themselves; to choose to follow the Lord. 

Your Heart determines Your Actions

Amos | Chapter 8:7-14 Pt. I ~ Episode 1083:
The Lord looks at, or searches, the thoughts and intentions of the heart. As we study Amos generation, and examine ourselves today, it proves out their heart toward the Lord determined what they experienced. Will you choose the Lord; and cling to the opportunity given to be His son or daughter? Or, are you going to choose to be in opposition [an adversary] to Him?

The Peril of Unbelief

Amos | Chapter 8:7-14 Pt. II ~ Episode 1084:
When we get to the core reason of why people don't say and do what Heavenly Father is telling and showing us to do; it's because of unbelief. If we truly have faith in the Lord, then we would accomplish those things He has for us to fulfill without doubt or hesitation. There are consequences for unbelief; so, let's gain understanding and continue onto the place of faith in the Lord. 

The Pride of Jacob

Amos | Chapter 8:7-14 Pt. III ~ Episode 1085:
Throughout Scripture, the Lord swears by Himself, because there is no one and nothing greater, that He can swear by. Let us mire fully understand the Lord swearing by the pride of Jacob; because, the Lord is always teaching us and providing opportunity to repent and bring restoration to our relationship - Reenter in Divine Alignment with the Covenant Relationship. 

The Consequences of Sin

Amos | Chapter 9:1-10 Pt. I ~ Episode 1086:
The only escape we have, from the effects of sin, is through the Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. So, the sheer absence of the Lord's presence ensures that no one will escape their punishment. And, what is meant by punishment is not from God, but the consequence(s) of sin. 

Reverence for the Lord

Amos | Chapter 9:1-10 Pt. II ~ Episode 1087:
Jesus, in all of His power, His might, and His deity, did not fail to recognize and to honor God the Father and Holy Spirit with all respect that is, was, and is due; even though He is an equal part of the Godhead. He did not forget His Covenant Relationship; and neither should we. 

Reverence for the Lord Pt. II

Amos | Chapter 9:1-10 Pt. III ~ Episode 1088:
The world is not going to try to escape the consequences of sin, by attempting to adopt a different set of consequences; ones [consequences] that the world chose to be the consequences of sin. We cannot save ourself; we can choose to completely surrender to the Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ, Who already defeated death, sin, and the grave on the cross. Let's honor and revere Him; as He truly deserves all the glory, honor, and praise. 

The Abundance of the Word of the Lord

Amos | Chapter 9:11-15 Pt. I ~ Episode 1089:
Often times in Scripture there is a double meaning when the Lord states there will be a famine. Not only does it refer to a lack of bread and water; the statement also speaks of a lack of hearing of the Words of the Lord. Not of people who wanted to preach the Gospel; but, they would actually have something inspired by the Lord to preach. Actually providing opportunity to the people to hear, and be exposed to the abundance of His Word; so they can apply it to their life.  

Rebuilding According to the Pattern and Example

Amos | Chapter 9:11-15 Pt. II ~ Episode 1090:
We are required to build exactly to the blueprint; or the plan, pattern, the example set forth in Jesus Christ. Trust the Lord; and, be quickly obedient to what He's told us to say and do for His Glory.
